Experience the rich history and vibrant small-town charm of historic Tunkhannock at the annual Founder's Day celebration! This massive community festival takes over the downtown streets for a full day of incredible food, local shopping, live music, and family memories. Whether you're hunting for unique handcrafted home decor, checking out classic cars, or dancing to local blues bands, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Best of all, you can find the Deep Roots team at the Warren Street tasting spot (right next to Twigs Restaurant)! We'll be set up alongside a local winery, distillery, and food truck, pouring our refreshing, handcrafted hard ciders and dessert wines to help you beat the summer heat.
Here is what is in store for this fun-filled Saturday:
Live Music Across 3 Stages: Catch performances throughout the day from the JP Williams Blues Band, Axe & Fiddle, Matt Bennick Blues Guitarist, Matt Harrison, and the Endless Mountains Barbershop Chorus.
The Tasting Spot (Warren Street): Head down the side of Twigs Restaurant to visit us, grab a cold cider pour, and sample regional wines and spirits!
Expanded Family Fun Zone: Located at the corner of Tioga and Slocum streets, featuring a bubble zone, inflatables, 9-Square, Gaga ball, and arts & crafts. Plus, don't miss a performance by Stage Door Dance at 11:30 AM!
Artisan & Craft Market: Shop an eclectic mix of regional vendors offering custom woodwork, custom metal crafts, jewelry, fine art, photography, and delicious specialty eats.
Classic Car Show: Take a stroll over to Sherwood Chevrolet to admire a beautiful lineup of vintage rides.
